Grave markers are the memorials that sit at or near ground level, and they come in three profiles. A flat grave marker lies level with the ground. A bevel marker sits a few inches above it, with the face angled gently toward you. A slant marker stands higher still, with a steeper face that reads almost like a small upright. We craft all three in granite, in a range of sizes, finishes, and personalization options, and we also cast markers in bronze.

Which one you are able to use often depends on the cemetery rather than on taste. Many sections permit flat markers only, so that mowing can pass over them. Others allow bevel or slant but not a full upright, which makes those two the common middle ground: more presence than a flat marker, within rules that do not allow a full upright stone.
