Linus Modlich emigrated from Germany and opened this shop in 1936 with hand tools and Old World stonecutting training. Four generations later, we're still here. We use laser etching and computer-aided design now, but every family still works directly with our team from first visit to installation.

Hand-Made Fused Glass Art — Only at Modlich
We make fused glass design elements right here in our own studio — something most monument companies can't do because it requires dedicated equipment and trained glass artists. Each piece is fired at high temperatures, making it weather-resistant and built to last. Every panel comes out different.
How We Work
Modern stone cutting and laser etching let us do things that weren't possible twenty years ago — photo-quality portraits, fine detail work, complex custom layouts. We still hand-carve when the design calls for it.
